Welcome to the
official home page for Ride for a Vet. Ride for a Vet
is a motorcycle ride beginning during the Memorial Day
weekend parade in Burnsville, Yancey County, North
Carolina which is scheduled for Saturday, May 26, 2012
at 12:00 pm.
If you would like to register and
be a part of our ride, you can register between
10:00am and 12:00pm. Registration will be on Town Square.
The cost to register in this event
is $20.00 per bike, and $10.00 per extra rider. This
includes dinner for each rider. All riders will ride as
the first wave in the Memorial Day parade, and will then
leave town for a scenic ride in the Blue Ridge
Mountains. There will be live music the night before,
refreshments, a raffle, door prizes, and 50/50. All
proceeds for this event will be donated to the Mount
Mitchell Marine Corps League 1266 to assist veterans who
are unable to assist themselves and must depend on
others for help.

On Friday night, May 25 2012, the Burnsville Town Square
will be the place to be! Come enjoy a free concert with the bands
RedLine and Absolute Acoustic Plugged In.
Action and still photography shots will be available for cruisers and
motorcycles on Friday and Saturday, provided compliments of Jarret Photography.
Custom Pinstriping will also be made available at the event, courtesy of 50 year
Motorcycle Pinstriper Tom Love. In addition, we are proud to announce that Mike Onley with
Dragon's Den Lighting will also be in attendance at our event.
